Description
A dollmaker's shop serves as a nocturnal gathering place for lost souls, each arriving in search of a wish that might bring them closure or comfort. These visitors carry the weight of their own sorrowful stories, and the mysterious dollmaker offers them a brief, tender reprieve through the craft of creating dolls that embody their deepest yearnings. One such visitor is Tatsuya, a young man still raw from a recent breakup. After a night of heavy drinking, he awakens to find an unfamiliar girl in his apartment, who claims she was picked up by someone else and ended up staying in his room. This strange encounter marks the beginning of an introspective journey, blurring the line between reality and dream. The narrative unfolds as a series of emotional, vignette-like arcs, exploring themes of loss, regret, and the fleeting beauty of human connection. Each lost soul who steps into the dollmaker's shop leaves with a changed perspective, however fragile. The tone remains melancholic yet gentle, suffused with a quiet sense of wonder and the ache of things left unsaid.
