Description
Yoshikawa Miyuki is a thirty-four-year-old woman who has been married for three years. From the outside, her life appears stable and conventional, but beneath the surface her marriage has become hollow. She and her husband no longer have a physical relationship, and she faces mounting pressure from family and society to bear a child. Trapped in a sexless union and suffocated by expectations she never truly chose, Miyuki begins to question everything she once accepted as normal.
Her world fractures when she encounters a woman who boldly declares, “I’ll crush all things normal to you.” This meeting pulls Miyuki into a forbidden romantic entanglement, forcing her to confront her own suppressed desires and the painful dishonesty of her so-called happy life. As she navigates the streets of Tokyo, the carefully constructed facade of her marriage begins to crumble. The story follows her internal struggle between the safety of conformity and the terrifying freedom of authenticity, exploring themes of identity, societal pressure, and the cost of living a lie. Through her affair, Miyuki must decide whether to cling to a false embrace or risk everything for a chance at genuine connection.
