Kotori has been dumped by twenty-four boys and is certain that her twenty-fifth confession will succeed. When she dresses in a yukata to meet Ogasawara at a summer festival, he brings his girlfriend and rejects her. Wandering in a daze, Kotori catches her sleeve on a branch, and a stranger named Yamato embraces her from behind to help. He lends her his shirt and warns her to go home. The next day Kotori discovers Yamato is a painter contracted to work at her school. As they spend time together, she overhears Ogasawara spreading rumors that she falls for anyone who meets her eye. Humiliated and angry, Kotori finally cries for the first time over a boy. Yamato cheers her up by taking her out on his scooter, and their relationship deepens. For the first time Kotori hesitates to confess, but when she musters the courage, Ogasawara has already poisoned Yamato's impression of her, causing a misunderstanding. The volume also includes two shorter stories: Onna Desu Mono, about Mashiro who feels insecure about her small chest and turns to a miraculous bra, only to be betrayed by her boyfriend and ultimately comforted by his older brother; and Game!!!, in which Mina, an expert manipulator of boys, meets the artist Asateru and faces a challenge when her usual tactics fail to affect him.
