A young woman of mixed race, Mari is often considered attractive and popular by her peers, but her true personality—a gluttonous love of pro wrestling and an unfiltered inner self—tends to drive away boys after the first date. One boy, Tsuchiya, proves different. He does not run away when he sees the real Mari, and their relationship slowly develops across a series of interconnected episodes. The first three stories follow Mari and Tsuchiya as they navigate first love, misunderstandings, and the awkward gap between public image and private feelings. The final story centers on a girl who is a member of her school’s judo club. Despite her athletic surroundings, she worries no one sees her as feminine—except for a boy named Kazuki. She begins to fall for him, unaware that he has already become infatuated with someone else because of a delicious cake he ate, which was actually made by her.
