Fifteen-year-old Wakana attends a cram school where the teacher Touto-sensei works. She is quiet but easily angered, and during class she often texts Mizuno, a boy from another school. When Touto-sensei confiscates her phone, he returns it after class and unexpectedly confesses his love for her. Wakana doubts his sincerity, but the next day he asks for her answer. Unsure, she tries to approach Mizuno only to be rejected when he introduces his new girlfriend. Heartbroken, Wakana runs to Touto-sensei, and they agree to a trial date to see if she is willing to become his girlfriend.
