The story follows Tact, a man who after ten years of relentless overwork at the major guild known as the Eagle's Claw is abruptly fired by a high-ranking executive. With no job, no romantic prospects, and a seemingly useless skill, his life hits rock bottom. Determined to support his younger sister, he decides to become an adventurer. On his journey, he encounters the demoness Noel, who leads him to her castle and reveals the hidden nature of his abilities, even proposing marriage to him. Meanwhile, his former elven colleague Yuki and his capable former boss Uran begin to show personal interest in him. During a royal tournament, Tact defeats the renowned S-rank adventurer Alice, the Rose Princess, who becomes obsessed with his strength and actively pursues him. As the story progresses, Tact becomes entangled in a conspiracy involving the Eagle's Claw, including the kidnapping of a girl named Lora and a subsequent investigation by Uran and Alice. Through these events, Tact awakens new skills, grows closer to multiple women—including Noel, Yuki, Uran, and Alice—and confronts the challenges of both his past and his hidden potential, all while striving to secure a stable life for his sister and uncover the truth behind his own power.
