Description
Omega prince Ilya, the thirteenth prince of the snowbound kingdom of Romelidahl, has been despised since birth for his secondary gender. In his homeland, omegas are treated as property, fit only for slavery or prostitution, and Ilya has survived by making himself useful to the royal family as a political tool. When his father arranges a marriage with the ruler of the distant, sun-drenched allied kingdom of Hanu, Ilya resigns himself to a life of cold duty, promising that although his body may belong to others, his soul never will.

Upon arriving at the resplendent palace, Ilya meets a mysterious young boy in the garden and, assuming he is a lost prince, kindly guides him out. The next day, at the wedding ceremony, Ilya is stunned to discover that the boy is none other than Khalid, the ten-year-old alpha king of Hanu. Unlike Romelidahl, Hanu reveres omegas as divine messengers of the god Ratate, and Ilya is welcomed as a miracle. Despite the age gap and his own guarded heart, Ilya slowly begins to open up to Khalid's earnest, persistent affection as the young king proves himself wise, just, and fiercely devoted.

Their fragile peace shatters when Khalid's elder brother Zain, a cruel and ambitious man who was passed over for the throne, returns from abroad. Zain stages a coup, announces Khalid's death during a military expedition, and seizes power. When Zain attempts to force himself on Ilya, the omega refuses and leaps from a cliff into the sea rather than submit, determined to follow Khalid in death.

Ilya survives, rescued by Khalid and Zain's elder brother Amir, who runs an orphanage in hiding. Eight years pass, during which Zain's tyrannical rule plunges Hanu into decay and civil war. Ilya, now living in seclusion, dedicates himself to aiding the suffering people. Meanwhile, a resistance movement grows, led by a charismatic young man—Khalid, who survived the assassination and has been secretly building an army to reclaim his throne. When Khalid and Ilya finally reunite, their bond, forged through loss and shared purpose, deepens into a mature, unwavering partnership. Together they lead the rebellion, defeat Zain, and restore peace to Hanu, at last claiming the loving bond fate had promised them.

A sequel volume, Palace of the Omega: A Snowflower's Tale, follows the couple's next challenge: Ilya receives word that his estranged, omega-hating father is gravely ill and must confront his painful past as he decides whether to return to Romelidahl.
