Description
Three modern-day women from Japan die and are reincarnated into the heroines of beloved fairy tales, each carrying the full memory of the story she now inhabits. Determined to avoid the canonical tragedies that await them, they set out to rewrite their own happily-ever-afters with wit, courage, and a little help from unexpectedly handsome men who were never part of the original tales.

In the first story, a Japanese high school girl wakes up as Snow White. Knowing the queen will send a hunter to kill her, she tries to flee the castle, but the hunter finds her first. Far from the cold-blooded killer of the fairy tale, he is a strikingly handsome young man who offers to hide her with the seven dwarfs and protect her from the queen’s schemes. As Snow White grows close to him, she braces for the poisoned apple she knows is coming, only to have the hunter intervene in a way no storybook could have predicted.

The second story follows a college student reborn as the Little Mermaid. She knows that unless she wins her prince’s love within a limited time, she will dissolve into sea foam. The prince, however, is an impossibly pure and naive boy who does not understand romance. With her modern knowledge and a comedic determination, she must find a way to make him fall for her while navigating the sea witch’s curse and her own growing feelings.

The third and title story features an overworked office lady who collapses from exhaustion and reincarnates as Cinderella. At first she assumes the classic happy ending is inevitable, but when she finally sees the prince at the ball, he appears disturbingly bloodthirsty and unhinged. Horrified at the prospect of marrying such a man, she plans to flee the country. A handsome wizard who had been training her for the ball offers to help her escape, and she realizes she has fallen in love with him instead. In a twist, the wizard reveals himself to be the first prince of the kingdom, and the prince she saw at the ball was a misunderstanding; the wizard had kept his identity hidden to surprise her. The story resolves with Cinderella choosing a love built on genuine connection rather than a glass slipper.

Set in fantastical reimaginings of classic Western fairy tales, the anthology weaves romance, comedy, and suspense through the lens of isekai reincarnation. The heroines are all practical, self-aware young women who use their knowledge of the original plots to take control of their destinies, while the male leads are redesigned as charismatic and protective figures who help subvert the traditional storybook endings. Each arc runs two chapters, creating a cohesive volume of six chapters that finishes with a satisfying resolution for all three heroines.
