Description
Saori, a novelist, finds herself homeless and penniless after her emotionally abusive boyfriend kicks her out of their shared home without warning. With nowhere else to go, she wanders into her regular cafe, where the owner, Soushi, has always been a friendly face. As she confides in him about her situation, the exhaustion overwhelms her and she falls asleep at the counter. When she wakes, she finds Soushi watching her with a serious, tender expression. He tells her that if he were her boyfriend, he would never let her look so troubled. Soushi, who has harbored hidden feelings for her for some time, offers her a place to stay and begins to care for her with a gentle, single-minded devotion. The story follows Saori as she slowly heals from the trauma of her past relationship and learns to accept Soushi’s unwavering affection, while Soushi proves himself to be the opposite of her ex—patient, kind, and deeply in love. The narrative focuses on the developing romance and the emotional recovery of the protagonist in a soothing cafe setting.
