Momone Ota is a university student on forced leave, living as a shut-in at her uncle's home after her abusive mother tracked down her previous residence and destroyed her ability to trust others. Her uncle runs a small community radio station called FM Manaka in a provincial town. One night, a series of coincidences leads the station's popular personality RYOTA to overhear Momone's voice, and he instantly recognizes its appeal. Before she can refuse, she is thrust into the role of a late-night program under the alias Barazono Lemon, hosting a one-hour show titled Yoru no Lemon ni Request.

The setting is the intimate, underfunded world of community FM radio where every staff member wears multiple hats.
