Description
Seraphina, the daughter of a viscount, is cast aside by her family as incompetent and loses her fiancé to her younger sister. With nowhere to turn, she devotes herself to her sole comfort and skill: embroidery. In her moment of deepest despair, she receives a surprising marriage proposal from Count Alexis, a man widely feared for his cold and ruthless reputation. He offers her a white marriage, a union existing only on paper with no expectation of intimacy or shared life, and as an enticement, he promises to prepare a private embroidery room for her. Seraphina accepts, beginning a contract-based life as his decorative wife. In her new home at the count's isolated estate, she immerses herself in her beloved craft while gradually discovering that beneath Alexis's icy exterior lies a hidden gentleness. Her respect and gratitude for him slowly deepen into genuine love. At the same time, Seraphina's embroidery begins to reveal an extraordinary power, one that subtly alters the fates of those who come into contact with her creations. What starts as a convenient arrangement evolves into a tender and healing romance set against a borderland fantasy backdrop, as Seraphina finds not only a place to belong but also the strength and influence she never knew she possessed.
