Description
Akira, a young office worker and band member, feels left behind after his childhood friend finds a romantic partner. Drunk and collapsed on the street one night, he is taken care of by a passing young man who introduces himself as Ema. In return for the help, Ema hands Akira his business card and asks him to request Ema by name next time. Ema works as a seller of love, a sex worker who offers himself as a paid companion for a night. After their single night together as temporary lovers, Ema finds himself waiting eagerly for Akira to call on him again, slowly realizing that his feelings are becoming personal. Akira, unaccustomed to being loved and hesitant to trust, is drawn into a relationship that blurs the line between transaction and genuine emotion. The story explores their growing connection against the backdrop of Ema's work, Akira's band activities, and the lingering insecurities both carry. As they navigate jealousy, past trauma, and the question of what it means to be wanted for who they truly are rather than for a role they play, each reaches for the other again and again like the warmth of dawn.
