University senior Hinata has failed every job interview he has taken. Adrift and without direction, he accepts a strange part-time job from a friend: collecting cherry blossom petals for one yen each. At the handoff, he meets the client, Shizuku, and is immediately captivated by her. Her simple words of thanks color his hopeless world and give him a new sense of purpose.
