Description
In a world where humans and demi-humans coexist, Kou is a hybrid of a werewolf and a vampire who works at his mother’s café. A traumatic childhood incident—during which he lost control and drank too much blood from his human childhood friend Itsuki, causing the boy to collapse—left Kou deeply afraid of his own instincts. He has since avoided forming close bonds with humans, finding their blood too tempting to resist.
Years later, Itsuki suddenly reappears in Kou’s life, showing up at the café as a customer and, despite Kou’s protests, soon becomes a coworker there. Itsuki, cheerful and relentlessly friendly, is determined to rekindle their old friendship. Kou struggles to keep his distance, haunted by the memory of what happened before. To help Kou manage his vampiric urges, Itsuki offers himself as a practice partner for blood-drinking exercises. These intimate sessions blur the line between necessary control and growing desire.
As they spend more time together, both begin to confront deeper feelings. Kou worries that Itsuki’s attraction might be influenced by a vampire’s allure rather than genuine emotion, while Itsuki proves his devotion by showing that his feelings are real. Jealousy arises when Kou grows attached to a dragon-type senior colleague, and Itsuki’s own possessiveness surfaces. Through these conflicts, the two slowly navigate their past trauma, their evolving bond, and the physical and emotional pull between them. They eventually confess their mutual love and begin a romantic relationship, finding a balance between Kou’s predatory nature and the tenderness of their rekindled connection.
