Description
Twenty-four-year-old Sugawara Mayo is the voice behind Mahiru, a wildly popular VTuber known for a bright, healing personality. In reality, Mayo is a deeply insecure, introverted man who struggles with self-worth and depression. The more fans adore Mahiru, the more isolated Mayo feels—convinced that no one would care for his true self. His assigned manager, Ogino, is attentive and doting, but Mayo assumes Ogino only sees the online persona, not the real person behind it. Ogino, however, sees through Mayo's facade and senses his unspoken craving to be dominated. One night, Ogino offers to "bully" him instead, initiating a physical relationship that blurs professional boundaries.

The story unfolds primarily from Mayo’s perspective, tracing his fraught inner life and his secret, long-held feelings for Ogino. A company policy forces the two to live together, deepening their intimacy while also intensifying Mayo’s anxiety. Ogino, who appears as a gentle, caregiving figure, reveals a sly, possessive side during their encounters, indulging Mayo’s masochistic tendencies. As they grow closer, Mayo struggles with the fear that Ogino only desires the fabricated idol, not the flawed man beneath.

A key narrative arc introduces jealousy: when Ogino begins managing other talents, Mayo spirals, and a collaboration with a junior VTuber triggers Ogino’s own possessiveness, leading to an intense scene of raw possessiveness. The plot deepens when Ogino’s past is revealed—he was a devoted fan of Mahiru before joining the agency, and he deliberately engineered his position to protect Mayo from being overworked, just as the agency had begun to exploit him. Their mutual feelings finally surface when Ogino fears being reassigned; he confesses his love and his determination to stay as Mayo’s manager.

The series continues after they become lovers, focusing on Mayo’s growing confidence and career ambition. Encouraged by Ogino, Mayo agrees to participate in a major live event, pushing himself to step out from behind the screen. The remainder of the story follows their evolving life as a couple and as professional partners, balancing the pressures of the VTuber industry with their deepening bond. The manga culminates in Mayo’s emotional and professional growth, grounded in the trust and love he has found with Ogino.
