Description
After her country Lidea loses a war, Princess Tinalia is sent as a political bride to the enemy kingdom of Baldin. She is to marry Crown Prince Keith, a man she has secretly loved for ten years. When Lidea held Keith as a prisoner of war, the young Tinalia—then called Tina—was the only one who treated him with kindness. He became her first and only love. Now, as his unwanted wife, she hopes to finally stand by his side.

But Keith does not remember her. Scarred by Lidea’s past atrocities, he distrusts his new bride and pushes her away, claiming he already has a lover, Cleanna. Tinalia’s arrival is met with hatred from the Baldin court, especially from Queen Belard, Keith’s ambitious stepmother. The queen sees Tinalia as a threat to her own son’s claim to the throne. Only Tinalia’s loyal maid Maria stands by her.

Despite being given no funds, poor food, and relentless cold treatment, Tinalia endures quietly. She is determined to keep Keith safe and happy even if he never returns her feelings. As Keith slowly begins to notice her gentle nature, political tensions rise. Queen Belard becomes pregnant, and a second prince is born, intensifying the power struggle. Keith and Tinalia grow closer during a visit to the neighboring kingdom of Jigras, ruled by Keith’s cousin Ziegfried. Ziegfried takes an unsettling interest in Tinalia.

Back in Baldin, Cleanna, who wants to become Keith’s bride, frames Tinalia as a spy. When Tinalia uncovers a traitor selling military secrets, Cleanna twists the evidence to make Keith believe Tinalia is using seduction to betray him. Consumed by jealousy and rage, Keith forces himself on Tinalia, only afterward realizing she was a virgin. Filled with regret, he intends to apologize, but before he can, war erupts.

Jigras invades Baldin with the help of the traitor. Keith is poisoned and incapacitated. To save her husband and the kingdom, Tinalia agrees to Ziegfried’s demand that she become his bride. She is taken to Jigras, where Ziegfried subjects her to brutal sexual violence. Meanwhile, Keith learns the truth about Tinalia’s childhood: she was abused and treated as a servant in her own home, and his smile long ago was the only light in her life. Realizing the girl he once met was Tinalia, Keith is filled with remorse.

Keith recovers, seizes the throne from his father and Queen Belard, and leads a rescue mission. He kills the traitor, defeats Ziegfried, and brings Tinalia back. But Tinalia is broken. She suffers from severe trauma and cannot bear to be touched by any man, even Keith. She decides to leave the palace to live as a commoner. Keith, desperate not to lose her again, finds her and confesses his love, asking her to marry him once more. Tinalia, still loving him despite everything, accepts.

In the final arc, the couple renews their vows. With time and Keith’s unwavering devotion, Tinalia slowly heals. They build a family and rule together, finally finding the happiness that had been denied them. The story ends with Keith, Tinalia, and their children living in peace and love.
