Description
A noble lady, Beatrice, lives a quiet life working as a translator on the side, but her world collapses at a royal ball when her fiancé, Bruno, suddenly announces the dissolution of their engagement, orchestrated by her best friend’s betrayal. Facing the double blow of a ruined reputation and the potential loss of her family’s title, she is on the brink of being branded a villainess. Crown Prince Alfred intervenes, declaring he will take her as his own. He publicly announces her as his wife and privately appoints her as his aide and figurehead consort. Beatrice’s hidden magical power and translation skills lead her to uncover a state secret, trapping her in the role. Initially disliking the self-centered prince, Beatrice throws herself into her duties assisting the knights. As she works alongside the mysterious knight commander Jean, who is both strict and kind, she gradually connects with the order. Meanwhile, Alfred’s attitude shifts from cold command to intense doting, leaving Beatrice to question whether she is truly just a decorative consort. The story later follows her involvement in a human trafficking investigation in the capital and the emergence of Beatrice’s former friend Laura, who believes she is more suited to be Alfred’s bride and sets underhanded traps. A princess from a neighboring kingdom later arrives as a romantic rival, further complicating Beatrice’s position.
