Tsuchibe Taichi is a high school boy who has an unwavering belief in love, shaped by his obsession with shoujo manga. Despite his enthusiasm, he has been rejected by every girl he has confessed to, over fifty in total. When a new transfer student named Kinokura Yasuko arrives in his class, he is instantly smitten and asks her out on the spot. To his surprise, she does not simply refuse him, and a strange romantic contest begins. Taichi soon learns that he has an extraordinary rival: the actual god of love has also set its sights on Kinokura. Taichi’s grandmother, a shrine priestess, senses the divine presence and warns him.
