After being betrayed by a same-sex lover, the protagonist Sakuya throws himself entirely into his work, neglecting his living space until it deteriorates into what is commonly called a "dirty room." When a cockroach finally appears, Sakuya trembles in panic and reluctantly calls a housekeeping service. To his surprise, the person who arrives is a young, cheerful university student named Tasaki—an unexpectedly handsome and seemingly radiant younger man. Tasaki methodically cleans not only the apartment but also begins to ease the emotional clutter Sakuya carries. As Sakuya finds himself gradually drawn to Tasaki, his progress is hindered by the age gap between them and the trauma left by his former lover. The story follows their developing relationship as Sakuya learns to trust again, while Tasaki steadily brings order and warmth back into his life and home.
