Komichi Shijou is the most famous student at her school and a successful creator of romantic comedy manga, yet she has never experienced romantic love herself. This contradiction plunges her into a creative slump, leaving her unable to write her series. One day, she witnesses a boy named Karasuma deliver a failed love confession to a girl named Fushimi. Intrigued by the raw emotion of the moment and desperate for inspiration, Komichi decides to involve herself in their relationship, offering to coach Karasuma on how to confess properly. Her plan is to observe real romantic interactions up close to learn what love actually feels like.
