In the free city of Neo York, a metropolis constantly threatened by superpowered villains known as Villains, the city’s mightiest hero, Golden Man, suddenly vanishes during a rescue operation at a burning abandoned factory. At the scene, a young man suffering from complete amnesia is discovered unconscious, clutching the Golden Man suit. He possesses extraordinary physical strength far beyond normal human limits. To maintain public order and counter the immediate Villain threats, the hero’s support team—including the brilliant mechanic Bruce and the combat-capable Blue—decides to pass the amnesiac off as the real Golden Man and send him into action.

The amnesiac, later referred to as Moroboshi, gradually pieces together fragments of his past while fighting a series of increasingly dangerous enemies. The first major challenge comes from Oiran Trooper, a Villain with the ability to tear through space itself, forcing Bruce to devise a desperate countermeasure. As Moroboshi struggles with his lack of identity and the weight of the lie, a shadowy criminal syndicate called the Ura (the “Underworld”) begins to move against Neo York. The Ura’s operatives manipulate other Villains and use advanced technology to uncover the truth behind Golden Man’s disappearance.

The narrative takes a sharp turn when the true Golden Man, a man named Zero, reappears and violently confronts Moroboshi, accusing him of usurping his role. The team is torn apart as Zero, now aligning with the Ura, reveals dark secrets about the hero system and the city’s hidden power structure. Moroboshi’s own origin is tied to a secret human experimentation facility located in a parallel district called Shinju-ku (the “New Ward”), where he was raised alongside other test subjects, including the woman who would become Oiran Trooper.

A full-scale war erupts between Neo York and Shinju-ku’s mechanical army, led by the powerful Baker Corporation. Moroboshi, after recovering his lost memories in a dreamlike journey, returns to defend the city with renewed purpose. The story builds to a climactic confrontation between the fake hero and the true one, blurring the lines between hero, Villain, and victim. Throughout, the support team fights to protect Neo York while unraveling a conspiracy that challenges the very meaning of heroism. The series maintains a fast-paced blend of action, mystery, and character-driven drama, with each volume escalating the stakes and deepening the emotional bonds among the central cast.
