Description
Salaryman Kota is living a blissful newlywed life with his wife Fumie, content in his ordinary routine. That peace shatters when his ex-girlfriend Sakurako, whom he heartlessly abandoned years ago by cutting all communication, reappears. Sakurako has infiltrated the family as the fiancée of Fumie’s older brother, inserting herself directly into Kota’s world. Her true purpose is revenge: she seduces Kota by drugging his drink and sleeping with him while he mistakes her for his wife, and she later reveals she is pregnant, eventually giving birth to a son who unmistakably resembles Kota. The first narrative arc ends with Kota trapped in a web of his own cowardice and Sakurako’s calculated cruelty, while Fumie is left shattered.

The story continues as an omnibus of revenge tales centered on women betrayed by the men they trusted. In the Haruka arc, a woman caring for her elderly mother-in-law discovers that her husband Masaya has been having a fifteen-year affair with her best friend Reina, her only source of social relief. After stumbling upon them in her own bedroom, Haruka is abandoned by Masaya and left humiliated, but she vows revenge. She receives a massive inheritance from her former mother-in-law, who sides with her, and systematically dismantles her ex-husband and former friend’s lives.

The Waka arc follows a cheerful housewife and mother who begins to suspect her husband Naoto’s frequent weekend overtime. She follows him and witnesses him being called “Papa” by a strange boy, revealing he has a hidden second family. Waka leaves him, but Naoto threatens her over a financial mishap involving their son; she finds refuge and a new romance with Naoto’s estranged younger brother, Hiroto.

The Marina arc features a plain, self-conscious woman whose only indulgence is regular visits to a chiropractor. The married, handsome therapist, Kamikubo, proposes a wife-approved affair, drawing her into a toxic arrangement that she eventually escapes only to find herself unable to forget him and later volunteering to care for his child.

The series concludes with a final arc that returns to the first story: Fumie, now a mother, begins her own revenge against Sakurako and her spineless husband Kota, as their children grow older and Sakurako once again reaches her claws toward the family. The narrative is a rotating anthology of betrayed women employing psychological, emotional, and financial tactics to destroy the worthless men who wronged them, set in contemporary Japanese domestic life.
