A young woman from the Otogiri Group, one of Japan’s leading financial conglomerates, was married off in an arranged political marriage to a wealthy corporate heir. The marriage ended in divorce, and she returned to her family home in disgrace. Her family treats her as a failure and confines her to a detached storehouse that had been used for storing odds and ends. The only person who stands by her is the butler who has looked after her since childhood. He promises to turn her into a proud, accomplished lady who can captivate any man in a single night. To that end, he begins giving her a series of intense, late-night “doting lessons.” The lessons are intimate and possessive, and the butler’s love for her soon proves to be overwhelmingly deep and obsessive.
