High school sophomore Kusaka Daikichi encounters the stunningly beautiful upperclassman Nagakura Kudou at the school cafeteria and feels an immediate spark. But rumors swirl that anyone who gets close to Kudou is doomed to suffer misfortune. Despite the warning, Daikichi can't shake his feelings, and he finds himself drawn into the orbit of Kudou and the eclectic members of a nearby café called funfun kobo. Together with other students from their school, they navigate a series of chaotic, comedic, and sometimes perilous situations that test whether Daikichi's emotions are genuine love or something else entirely. The story unfolds as a spin-off of the earlier manga funfun kobo, building on its established world and characters.
