Karin Clercq is a Belgian actress and singer, born on March 3, 1972, in Brussels. Her professional background is rooted in both dramatic and musical performance. She trained at the Conservatoire Royal de Liège, where she graduated with First Prizes in both declamation and dramatic art in the late 1990s. Prior to this, she studied archaeology and art history at the Université Catholique de Louvain. Beyond her acting work, Clercq has an established career as a singer-songwriter, having released several albums beginning with Femme X in 2002, a record that received the Prix Rapsat-Lelièvre.

As a voice actress, Clercq is active in the French-language dubbing industry, lending her voice to a variety of characters in anime and animated series. She is known for several roles within the Pokémon franchise. She voiced the character Elsa-Mina in the web series Pokémon Evolutions and Alix in the web series Pokémon: Paldean Winds. Her work in the franchise also includes earlier roles in the main television series, such as Horace, Frida in Pokémon Noir et Blanc, Carrie in Pokémon, la série: XY, and Charlie Charma in Pokémon, la série: Soleil et Lune.

Her other prominent anime roles include two characters in the Netflix series Aggretsuko: the overbearing senior colleague Tsubone and a character named Manaka. She also provided the voice for Aiger Akabane in the series Beyblade Burst Turbo. In the 3D CGI film Stand By Me Doraemon, she voiced the character Hidetoshi Dekisugi, the academic rival of the protagonist Nobita. Her voice work extends beyond anime as well; for instance, she voiced Jeff Randell in the French dub of the American animated series Clarence.

Clercq's dubbing career is marked by frequent collaboration with a consistent group of Belgian voice actors and directors.
