Sawako Hata is a Japanese voice actress and former singer born on September 14, 1988, in Osaka Prefecture, Japan. She is currently affiliated with the talent agency Mausu Promotion.

Her career in the entertainment industry began not as a voice actress but as an idol. In November 2009, Hata successfully passed the audition for the third generation of the idol group SKE48. She was later promoted to the group's Team KII in December 2010. During her time with SKE48, she participated in several of the group's singles, including "Pareo wa Emerald" and "Kataomoi Finally". She was also involved in the AKB48-related unit No Name, formed to provide voices for and perform the theme songs of the anime series AKB0048. In this anime, she voiced the character Suzuko Kanzaki, which marked her debut as a voice actress in 2012. Hata graduated from SKE48 in March 2013 to pursue her goal of becoming a seiyu full-time and subsequently enrolled in a voice acting school.

Following her transition to voice acting, Hata has built a diverse portfolio of roles across various anime series and video games. One of her most prominent and long-running roles is Eve Wakamiya, the keyboardist for the band Pastel Palettes, within the popular BanG Dream! multimedia franchise. She has reprised this role in multiple series and films, including the main BanG Dream! anime, Pastel Life, BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! Pico and its sequels, and BanG Dream! FILM LIVE 2nd Stage.

In addition to her work in BanG Dream!, Hata has voiced a variety of other characters. She played Lime Shijo in the anime adaptation Blue Reflection Ray. She was cast as Apuesta da Rumah in the long-running Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki OVA series. She also took on the role of Maria Takayama in the Iya na Kao Sare Nagara Opantsu Misete Moraitai and its second season. Other anime roles include Eto Etoshinmori VIII in Battle Spirits Double Drive and Satsuki in Konohana Kitan. In video games, she is well-known for voicing Marianne von Edmund in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Her other game credits include La Crima in Revived Witch, Fiji and Poltava in Azur Lane, and Almimi in Caravan Stories.

Hata's personal interests include making sweets, listening to classical music, and visiting the theater, particularly the Takarazuka Revue. She is also a collector of stuffed animals and, stemming from her time as an idol, holds a degree in computer engineering, an interest that began in her childhood. She announced her marriage to a man outside the entertainment industry on June 30, 2023.
