Rico Sasaki is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on November 10, 1997, in Akita Prefecture. Her entertainment career began at a young age when she was selected from approximately 9,000 applicants to play the titular role in a 2008 production of the musical Annie. This early success in musical theater laid the foundation for her dual career in performance and music.

Sasaki pursued formal vocal training, graduating from the music department of Tokiwagi Gakuen High School in Sendai in 2016. She initially began her music career in 2014 under the stage name Rico, releasing her debut single Come & Get It! through Teichiku Records after winning a company anniversary audition. In 2016, she reverted to using her birth name and simultaneously launched her voice acting career, making her debut in the NHK anime Omoi no Kakera as the character Michiru.

As a voice actress, Sasaki has built a diverse portfolio of anime roles. She voices Poporon in the Dropkick on My Devil! series, including Dropkick on My Devil! X and Dropkick on My Devil!!: Apocalypse Day. She plays Daia in Kiratto Pri☆Chan and Ayako Yamada in Kageki Shojo!!. Her 2024 role includes Tsutsuji Kurume in the cycling anime Rinkai!. A significant recent role is Uika Misumi, also known as Doloris, in the BanG Dream! franchise, appearing in BanG Dream! It's MyGO!!!!! and Ave Mujica - The Die is Cast -.

In addition to her anime voice work, Sasaki has contributed to video game voice acting. Her game credits include Makoto Franper in Death End re;Quest 2, roles in the Gunvolt series as Layla and Luxia, and Shirasu Chisa in World Dai Star. Her career demonstrates a consistent connection between her voice acting and singing talents, with her music frequently featured as theme songs for the anime series in which she performs.
