Sarah Emi Bridcutt is a Japanese voice actress born on February 5, 1989, in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture. She is the daughter of a Japanese mother and an Australian father. Her interest in voice acting began in the first grade of elementary school after watching Detective Conan and admiring the performance of Minami Takayama, the voice of Conan Edogawa. She pursued this goal by participating in drama during high school and later enrolled in the Theater Department at Nihon University College of Art. During her third year of university, she became a scholarship student and began attending the Production Ace Acting Research Institute, which launched her professional path. She is currently affiliated with the agency Production Ace.
Bridcutt made her debut as a voice actor in 2011, providing the voice for a mascot character on a radio program. Her first major leading role in a television anime came in 2013 when she was cast as Asuka Kudō in Problem Children Are Coming from Another World, Aren't They?. This role marked the beginning of a steady and prolific career in the industry.
Throughout her career, Bridcutt has portrayed a wide variety of characters across numerous anime series. She is well known for her role as the twin spirit Yuzuru Yamai, which she has reprised across multiple installments of the Date A Live franchise, including Date A Live II, Date A Live III, and Date A Live IV.
