Kanon Takao is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Tokyo, born on September 10, 2002. She is affiliated with the talent agency Link Plan. Her career began after winning the National Voice Actor Grand Prix audition in 2014, which led to her becoming a member of the idol group Earth Star Dream. During this early period, she formed the singing duo Hikanon and began landing her first anime roles. After Earth Star Dream went on hiatus, she left Earth Star Entertainment in 2018 and joined Link Plan later that same year.

Takao possesses a notable background in classical piano, having won the ASSOLUTO prize at the Milan International Junior Piano Competition in 2013 at the age of ten. This musical foundation has become a significant part of her professional life. In 2023, she was cast as Sakiko Togawa, also known as Oblivionis, the keyboardist and leader of the band Ave Mujica within the BanG Dream! multimedia franchise. She continues to voice this role in the sequel series Ave Mujica - The Die is Cast -.

Takao has built an extensive filmography, voicing a wide range of characters across various anime series and video games. Some of her most prominent roles include Latina in If It’s for My Daughter, I’d Even Defeat a Demon Lord, Rit in Banished From The Heroes' Party, Aku in Demon Lord, Retry!, and Hina Tsurugi in Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater. She also voices Sarasa Ford in Management of a Novice Alchemist, Luka in In the Land of Leadale, Yui Saikawa in The Detective Is Already Dead, Hermit Mio in Edens Zero, Chisa Shiraishi in Idoly Pride, and Kasumi Yashiro in Muv-Luv Alternative. Her video game work is equally prolific, with notable roles including Noelle in Genshin Impact and Milky Way Cookie in Cookie Run: Kingdom.
