Yoshiko Matsuo is a veteran Japanese voice actress and narrator from Tokyo, born on March 5, 1944. She began her career in 1957 and is affiliated with the talent agency Sigma Seven. Her career is characterized by a notable evolution in the types of roles she has played. During the 1960s and through the latter half of the 1970s, she was frequently cast in leading heroine roles. In her later career, she has become well-known for portraying mature women and grandmothers, as well as employing a lower vocal register for boy characters.
