Yoshiko Matsuo is a veteran Japanese voice actress and narrator from Tokyo, born on March 5, 1944. She began her career in 1957 and is affiliated with the talent agency Sigma Seven. Her career is characterized by a notable evolution in the types of roles she has played. During the 1960s and through the latter half of the 1970s, she was frequently cast in leading heroine roles. In her later career, she has become well-known for portraying mature women and grandmothers, as well as employing a lower vocal register for boy characters.

Matsuo has an extensive list of credits across numerous television series, films, and OVAs. She is particularly recognized for her work in the Nippon Animation World Masterpiece Theater television series. Her most prominent roles in this franchise include the lead role of Marco Rossi in Marco - From the Apennines to the Andes, Flone Robinson in Swiss Family Robinson, and Mina Hidaka in Kyojin no Hoshi. Her filmography includes the role of Rose in The Adventures of the Little Prince, Keiko Kamikita in Muteki Chōjin Zambot 3, Mika Furutsuki in Space Boy Soran, and Fu's grandmother in the Tamayura series, including Tamayura - More Aggressive. She is also known for her work as the voice of the Sanrio character Keroppi in various OVA and television releases, such as Asobō! Hello Kitty and Hello Kitty's Animation Theater.
