Linda Young is an American voice actress known for her work in English dubs of Japanese anime series, predominantly for Funimation productions. Born on April 27, 1953, she has been active in the voice acting industry since at least 1997. Her son, John Burgmeier, is also a voice actor who has worked alongside her at Funimation.
Young is best known for several iconic roles that have defined her career. She is most recognized as the voice of the villain Frieza in the Funimation dub of the Dragon Ball Z series, a role she has reprised in Dragon Ball Z Kai, Dragon Ball GT, and various related video games. Within the same franchise, she has also provided the voice for the fortune teller Baba and the character Fasha. Another of her notable and long-standing roles is that of the elderly martial arts master Genkai in the series Yu Yu Hakusho, a part she played in both the anime and the video game Yu Yu Hakusho: Dark Tournament. Her filmography also includes the voice of Porlyusica in Fairy Tail and various characters in other major series such as Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Fruits Basket, One Piece, and Shiki.
