Reinhard Scheunemann is a German actor and voice actor, born in 1950 in East Berlin. His path to acting was indirect; he initially trained as an industrial clerk on the advice of his mother, who was concerned about him having to perform heavy physical labor due to back problems. Dissatisfied with this career, he pursued his interest in performance, studying acting in Rostock and earning his stage certification. Before focusing solely on acting, he also worked as a professional clown, touring with a circus for a year and a half, including performances in Russia.

Scheunemann has built a prolific career in Germany as a voice actor, lending his voice to numerous characters in film and television. His work encompasses a wide range of genres, including many anime series and films. In the anime film Wolf Children, he voiced the character Grandfather Nirasaki. He is also the German voice for the character Garland in the series The Good Witch of the West. His other anime voice work includes roles in Gunslinger Girl as Alfonso, in various installments of the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise, and in popular series such as My Hero Academia and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders.

Beyond anime, Scheunemann's voice is widely recognized for dubbing live-action roles. He has provided the German voice for actors in major Hollywood productions, including Jurassic Park and X-Men. He has a substantial body of work in television, lending his voice to characters in series such as MAS*H, Malcolm mittendrin, Desperate Housewives, and O.C., California. He is also known in Germany for his voice work in the Star Trek franchise, having voiced numerous characters across Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and the feature films Star Trek: First Contact and Star Trek: Insurrection. In addition to his voice work, Scheunemann has appeared on screen in German film and television productions, including the feature film October November and the television series Notruf Hafenkante.
