Natsumi Kawaida is a Japanese voice actress born on February 18, 1996, in Aichi Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency Intention. Her journey into performance began before her voice acting career, as she participated in a production of the musical Annie in 2009. In 2014, she received an Excellence Award at a voice acting audition sponsored by the International Voice Actor Development Association. She attended a workshop at the Intention agency and made her professional voice acting debut in 2017, with a small role in the anime series Kirakira Pretty Cure a la Mode.

Kawaida's career progressed with various supporting roles in series such as Hug! Pretty Cure, Cells at Work!, and The Magnificent Kotobuki, where she voiced the character Cindi. A significant milestone came in 2020 when she landed her first main role as Natsumi Hodaka in the anime television series Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater. For this series, she also performed the opening and ending theme songs alongside her fellow cast members. That same year, she voiced the character Asaki in the popular franchise Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club.

In 2021, Kawaida voiced Asami Yūki in the series Higehiro: After Being Rejected, I Shaved and Took in a High School Runaway. The following year, her role portfolio expanded with parts in RPG Real Estate as Rufuria and in In the Heart of Kunoichi Tsubaki as Dokudami. She also voiced Seethia in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury in 2023. Kawaida continues to take on leading roles, such as Himari Momochi in the 2024 series The Demon Prince of Momochi House and Silk in the 2025 series I Left My A-Rank Party. Her filmography also includes a voice role as Nanoka Kiba in the anime MAO and Akino in the 2023 anime film The Concierge at Hokkyoku Department Store.

Beyond anime, Kawaida is active in dubbing foreign films and television series for a Japanese audience. Her dubbing credits include providing the Japanese voice for Park Hee-su in the live-action series All of Us Are Dead and for the character Bella in the film Strays.
