Miho Yamada is a Japanese voice actress and narrator born on November 11, 1973, in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. She is a graduate of the Katsuta Voice Actor Academy. Early in her career, she was affiliated with the talent agency Arts Vision. In 2008, she moved to her current agency, Crazy Box, and also adjusted the spelling of her stage name.
Yamada began her voice acting career in the mid-1990s, with one of her earliest roles being a small part in the television anime Slayers Next in 1996. From that point, she established a prolific career across numerous anime television series, original video animations (OVAs), and video games. Her body of work includes a wide array of characters in the 1990s and 2000s, such as the Queen in the 1999 film Princess Knight, Misako Narusawa in the 1996 OVA Dōkyūsei 2, Kaoru in the OVA The Desert Island Story XX, and Sora Munakata in the television series Muteki Ō Tri-Zenon. She also voiced Silvana in the OVA Words Worth, Kaoruko Tachibana in Puppet Master Sakon, Edith Foss in the OVA Yukikaze, Hiromi Tōgō in the OVA Hooligan, Yayoi Orikura in the 2000 OVA First Kiss Story, and Keiko Ogami in the basketball series Hoop Days. Other notable credits from this period include Layla in The Legend of Black Heaven and Miki Mizusawa in Magic User's Club!.
Yamada's career continued through the 2000s with roles in major franchises. She was part of the cast for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny as Sara and Mana, and voiced the character Nike in the 2004 film Appleseed. She also played roles in long-running series such as Inuyasha, where she voiced a young Tsubaki, and Case Closed (known as Detective Conan). Later in her career, she appeared in Ouran High School Host Club as Chizuru Maihara and in the Saki series as Takako Kubo. She also had a recurring role as the Blue Thunder Shopkeeper in the Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere series.
