Francisco Garriga was a Spanish voice actor and dubbing artist with a career spanning several decades, from the early 1960s until around 2004. He began his professional life in radio as an announcer in 1964, a role that naturally led him into the world of dubbing. Born Francisco Javier Garriga Vial in 1935, he became a prominent figure in the industry, primarily working out of Barcelona. He passed away in March 2021 at the age of 86.
Garriga's extensive voice work is most notably recognized in the field of anime and animated series, where he lent his voice to the Spanish dubs of numerous films and shows. Among his most recognized roles is Mike Bison (the character known as M. Bison in some regions) in the Spanish version of the film Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. He also voiced the character Peter Van Buscirk in the movie adaptation of Lensman and took on the role of Rigodón in the beloved animated series 80 Days Around the World With Willy Fog. His filmography includes the role of Robert J. Dimitri in Grey: Digital Target and Kharock in the film Royal Space Force - The Wings of Honnêamise, for which he provided the second Spanish voice. He also voiced the iconic villain Dr. Hell in the feature Mazinger Z Vs. Devilman.
