James Marler is a Texas-based voice actor with over a decade of experience in the anime industry, frequently working with studios such as Sentai Filmworks and Funimation. Born James Matthew Marler on June 7, 1987, his body of work includes a wide range of supporting and principal roles in English dubs of popular anime series.

Marler's career encompasses a variety of characters across multiple genres. He is known for his role as Goro Mihashi in the 2022 anime adaptation Shenmue the Animation. He also voiced the character Chigusa Fukasawa in the P.A. Works original fantasy series IRODUKU: The World in Colors. In the action period piece Blade of the Immortal, he provided the voice for the Itto-ryu member Baro Sukezane. His other notable anime credits include Ganryu in Getter Robo Arc, Jin Soekawa in Haikyu!!, Kureha Shinogi in the Sentai Filmworks redub of Baki, and the role of Scar Slime in My Isekai Life.
