Gerd Meyer is a German actor and voice actor known for his extensive work in dubbing anime and other international productions for German-language audiences. He was born in Flensburg, Germany, in 1966. His path to voice acting included formal training in various performing arts disciplines, such as acting at the Deutsche Schauspielakademie in Munich, as well as further education in radio and media services. Beyond his voice work, he is also a trained pedagogue and has experience as a radio host, live performer, and stage director.

Meyer's voice is familiar to German fans of anime, where he has lent his talents to a wide array of characters across different series and films. His roles include Akihito Fujii in the romantic drama Domestic Girlfriend and Berko in the adventure series Drifting Dragons. In the fantasy genre, he voiced Professor Yodogawa in The Eccentric Family and Hare in Studio Ghibli's Tales from Earthsea. His work also spans other notable anime such as Takashi in My Neighbors the Yamadas, Ihika in the mature series RIN - Daughters of Mnemosyne, and the character Callahan in Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us. He is also recognized for voicing the iconic Decepticon Starscream in Transformers: Armada.
