Jong-Hwan Son is a South Korean voice actor and theater director, born on January 10, 1965. He began his career in the performing arts as a theater actor, a profession he pursued from 1981 to 1994. After a four-year hiatus from acting, he entered the voice acting industry through a public recruitment exam held by the cable television network Tooniverse, making his debut as a voice actor at a relatively late age.
His voice is characterized as loud and profound, well-suited for friendly adult roles such as fathers, uncles, and grandfathers. One of his significant and recurring roles is that of Haejin Song, the principal of Cheongsol Elementary School, in the long-running Tooniverse dub of the Detective Conan series. He is also known for voicing Gray, a middle-aged high engineer and friend of the main character, in the original video animation Future GPX Cyber Formula Sin.
