Jong-Hwan Son is a South Korean voice actor and theater director, born on January 10, 1965. He began his career in the performing arts as a theater actor, a profession he pursued from 1981 to 1994. After a four-year hiatus from acting, he entered the voice acting industry through a public recruitment exam held by the cable television network Tooniverse, making his debut as a voice actor at a relatively late age.

His voice is characterized as loud and profound, well-suited for friendly adult roles such as fathers, uncles, and grandfathers. One of his significant and recurring roles is that of Haejin Song, the principal of Cheongsol Elementary School, in the long-running Tooniverse dub of the Detective Conan series. He is also known for voicing Gray, a middle-aged high engineer and friend of the main character, in the original video animation Future GPX Cyber Formula Sin. Other prominent anime roles include Hasegawa Taizou and the enigmatic character Elizabeth in Gintama, Paul Moriyama in Sgt. Frog, and the role of Vice Principal in Gokusen. He has also contributed his voice to various characters in the Dragon Ball franchise, including Babidi, Ox-King, and Garlic Jr..

Beyond anime, Son Jong-hwan's voice work extends to video games and foreign film dubbing. He provided the voice for the character Lorewalker Cho in the World of Warcraft expansion Mists of Pandaria, a performance that received acclaim.
