Benoit Van Dorslaer is a Belgian actor, born on March 6, 1964, primarily known for his extensive work in voice acting for French-language dubs of animated series and films. He trained in dramatic arts at the Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles.
Van Dorslaer has lent his voice to a wide array of characters in numerous anime and animated productions. He is notably the voice of Smoker in the film One Piece Stampede and Zaboera in the 2020 series Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai. His other prominent anime roles include Flinch in Di-Gata, the Defenders, Palladium in Winx Club, and various characters in the French dubs of series such as Radiant, Lupin the 3rd Part 6, and Summer Time Rendering. He also voiced Punch in the film Cowboy Bebop: The Movie.
Beyond anime, Van Dorslaer is recognized for his voice work in a broad range of Western animation. These roles include the Ice King in Adventure Time, Skips and Pops in Regular Show, Boulder in Transformers Rescue Bots, and Pinky Penguin, Herb Kazzaz, and Tom Jumbo-Grumbo in BoJack Horseman.
