Sara Matsumoto is a Japanese voice actress born on May 25, 1992, in Chiba Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency Kenyu Office. Matsumoto pursued her passion for voice acting by first attending Tokyo Announce Gakuin, followed by two years of training at the Kenyu Office-affiliated Talk Back training center, before embarking on her professional career in 2013.

Her career gained significant momentum with a series of prominent anime roles. In 2019, she was cast as Hiro Kurusu in the anime adaptation of Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life. A major turning point came in August 2020, when she was announced as the voice of Towa Higurashi, the main protagonist of Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, the highly anticipated sequel to the beloved series Inuyasha. She reprised this role for its second season, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon - The Second Act. Later that same year, she joined the cast of the mecha anime Back Arrow, voicing the character Jim.
