Ulrike Stürzbecher is a German actress and voice artist, born on March 9, 1965, in Berlin. She has built a prolific career in both on-screen acting and, most extensively, in dubbing, where she provides the German voice for numerous international stars and characters in film, television, and animation.

Stürzbecher began her artistic training at a young age, taking lessons in ballet, jazz, and singing from the late 1970s and early 1980s. She made her first film appearance at 17 and, after completing her Abitur, pursued private acting training followed by a three-year course of study in acting, singing, and dance at the Berlin University of the Arts. Her early career included work in theater, with performances at the Hebbel Theater and the Altstadttheater Spandau in Berlin, as well as roles in film and television productions. From 1989 onward, she has also been a member of the swing vocal group Die Heck-Mecks.

While Stürzbecher is widely recognized as the German dubbing voice for acclaimed actresses such as Kate Winslet, Jennifer Aniston, and Ellen Pompeo, her voice work also extends significantly into the realm of animation and anime. For German-language adaptations of Japanese anime, she has voiced characters in a variety of series and films. Her notable anime roles include Tamayo in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, the character Mother in Edens Zero, and Sherilyn Tan in the Case Closed film The Fist of Blue Sapphire. She also voiced Queen Malta in Lupin the IIIrd: Jigen's Gravestone, Frau Kogure in the Rumiko Takahashi Anthology, and Sara in Shin Kyūseishu Densetsu Hokuto no Ken: Toki-den.

In addition to these roles, her extensive dubbing portfolio includes lending her voice to characters played by Japanese actresses such as Maaya Sakamoto and Kikuko Inoue, further underscoring her presence in the anime dubbing field. Her work also encompasses voice roles in Western animation and video games, such as Diane Nguyen in BoJack Horseman, Queen in Justin and the Knights of Valour, and Farah in the video game Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

Throughout her career, Stürzbecher has received recognition for her work in dubbing. She was awarded the Golden Screen Honorary Needle in 1998 for her dubbing of Kate Winslet in Titanic. In 2010, she won the German Prize for Synchron in the category of Outstanding Female Dubbing Work and the audience award Die Silhouette for her performance as the voice of Kate Winslet in The Reader.
