Min Sook Kim
Description
Min Sook Kim is a South Korean voice actor known for his extensive work in dubbing anime and animated series for Korean audiences. He joined the Korean Broadcasting System as a voice actor in 1988 as part of its 21st regular cohort and worked as a freelancer until around 2013. In 2005, he served as the vice president of KBS VOICE.
His career is distinguished by a wide array of prominent roles in Korean-dubbed versions of popular anime. He is particularly well-known for voicing the character Vegeta across multiple installments of the Dragon Ball franchise, including Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Z Kai. Another significant role was as Byakuya Kuchiki in the long-running series Bleach. His filmography also includes voicing Treize Kushrenada in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Aoshi Shinomori in Rurouni Kenshin, Tokiya Mikagami in Flame of Recca, and Masumi Nishijima in The Future Diary. In the original video animation SaiKano: Another Love Song, he provided the voice for the character Wada. He also contributed to the Korean dubs of other well-known series such as Sailor Moon, The Rose of Versailles, and Armitage III.
In 2013, Kim sustained a serious injury that prevented him from resuming his regular voice acting work, leading to his roles in various properties being recast. Following this, he was reported to have retired from the voice acting industry.
