Kōichi Sakaguchi was born on February 10, 1968, in Tokyo, Japan. He is a Japanese voice actor and stage actor who has been active in the entertainment industry since the 1990s and is affiliated with the talent management firm 81 Produce. His career encompasses a wide range of roles in anime, video games, and live-action tokusatsu series, and he is recognized for his versatile performances in supporting and character roles.
Sakaguchi is known for several major voice roles across a variety of popular anime franchises. He is notably the voice of the recurring character Prince Hata in the long-running series Gintama, a role that has become closely associated with him.
