Sebastián Llapur
Description
Sebastián Llapur is an Argentinian-born Mexican voice actor with an extensive career in Latin Spanish dubbing, known for his versatility in portraying both comedic and dramatic roles. He was born on December 24, 1969, in San Salvador de Jujuy, Argentina. In his twenties, he moved to Córdoba, Argentina, to pursue work before relocating to Mexico, where he established himself in the dubbing industry. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Llapur returned to Córdoba, where he continues to work remotely from his own studio.
Llapur has built a substantial portfolio of voice work in anime, lending his deep and authoritative voice to a range of characters. He is well-recognized for his role as the powerful and enigmatic Captain Leonard Burns in the anime series Fire Force, a part he has played since the show's Latin Spanish dub began in 2021 and continued for its third and final season in 2025. Another significant anime role is that of the villainous Crocodile in the long-running series One Piece. His other notable anime credits include Barragan Ruizenban in the original Bleach series and later PePe Waccabrada in Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, Murichim in Dragon Ball Super, Tanaka in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Bob in Fairy Tail, and a guest role as Klemin in Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
Beyond these performances, his voice can be heard in The Quintessential Quintuplets as the football coach, in Shaman King as Oh-Oni, and he contributed additional voices for the Latin Spanish dub of Vinland Saga. In a testament to the collaborative nature of dubbing, Llapur has repeatedly worked with VSI Mexico, the studio responsible for the Latin Spanish dub of Fire Force, under the direction of Georgina Sánchez.
While he is highly active in anime, Llapur's career is even more expansive, including iconic roles in western animation and live-action dubbing. He is the regular voice of characters like Eduardo in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Abraham Simpson, Krusty the Clown, and Groundskeeper Willie in The Simpsons, and Quico in El Chavo Animado. In live-action, he is known for dubbing Darth Vader (James Earl Jones) in various Star Wars projects, Colossus in the Deadpool films, and Thorin Oakenshield in The Hobbit trilogy, among many others.
