Lori Barnes-Smith

Description
Lori Barnes-Smith, also known professionally as Lori Bachynski, is a voice actor whose career in English-language anime dubbing is most prominently associated with the mid-2000s. She began voice acting in December 2001 when she started working for Chinook Animation, a production company based in her then-residence of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Her birthplace is Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Barnes-Smith is perhaps best recognized for her roles in several interconnected anime series from that era. She played the dual role of Erstin Ho and Haruka Armitage in the series My-Otome, as well as its original video animation follow-up My-Otome Zwei. Prior to that, she voiced the character Haruka Suzuhiro in My-HiME, a series that shares thematic and casting links with My-Otome. Another of her significant roles was as Ai Mori in the action fantasy series The Law of Ueki.

Beyond these primary credits, her voice work includes the role of Honoka Maki in the series Kiznaiver and the character Lillian in an episode of the long-running magical girl franchise Pretty Cure. She also contributed to several video games based on the Gundam franchise, including voicing Elle Vianno in multiple installments of the Dynasty Warriors Gundam series and providing voices for Kisato Yamabuki and Elle in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed: Never Ending Tomorrow.
