Yuko Sasaki is a Japanese voice actress and narrator born on November 19, 1961, in Kanagawa Prefecture. She is currently affiliated with Production Ace.

Sasaki's interest in performance began in early childhood, as she was a member of a theatrical company from kindergarten until first grade and belonged to a drama club during middle school. Initially aiming for a career as a stage actor, she faced opposition from her parents after high school. Consequently, after being accepted by both a theatre company and a broadcasting company, she chose to attend a training center affiliated with the broadcaster, viewing voice work as a valid extension of acting. She is a graduate of the Japan Broadcasting Music Academy and joined a voice actor office in 1982 after completing her training. She was formerly associated with Dojin Production before going freelance and eventually joining Production Ace.

Sasaki is widely recognized for her long-running role as Kotake Sakura, the grandmother of the title character, in the enduring anime series Chibi Maruko-chan. She began voicing the character in 1990 at the age of 28, despite the character being 70 years old. Her association with the franchise also includes voicing the role in multiple films, such as Eiga Chibi Maruko-chan: Italia kara Kita Shōnen. In addition to the grandmother, she has voiced other characters in the series, including Maruko's classmate Osamu Nagayama.

Her career spans a wide range of roles in animation, OVAs, and film. Among the many roles mentioned, she has played Tae Ishikawa in Ecchan no Sensō, the Mermaid Queen in Tropical-Rouge! Precure, Seiko in Obatarian, Grandmother Yoshino in T.P. Beyond anime, Sasaki is highly active in dubbing foreign films and television series. In Japan, she is particularly well-known as the regular dubbing voice for American actress Meg Ryan. Her extensive dubbing work also includes providing Japanese voices for actresses such as Lea Thompson, Elisabeth Shue, and Robin Wright Penn. She was selected for the role of Elisabeth Shue's character in the Back to the Future series through a competitive process, a role that brought her significant professional recognition.

Throughout her career, Sasaki has demonstrated a versatility that allows her to portray a wide spectrum of characters, from young boys and women to elderly figures. Her voice is described as rich and nuanced. In addition to her on-screen work, she has also lent her voice to video games, served as a narrator for various programs, and performed in stage productions.
