Description
A 17-year-old high school girl named Kaede Yakumo awakens in an unfamiliar alleyway with only her backpack by her side. She has been transported to a mysterious fantasy realm populated by beastkin, elves, dragons, and other non-human races. After spending an entire day wandering aimlessly trying to understand her surroundings, she searches through her belongings and discovers a strange book that was not there before. Inside, she finds recipes for producing potions using a simple command word, "create," along with a note suggesting she treat this new experience as a game.
The book allows Kaede to craft potions by gathering the necessary materials and chanting the trigger word, providing her with a clear method for survival in this dangerous world. She vows to use her potion-making ability not only to sustain herself but also to search for the person who unfairly transported her, hoping to find a way back to Japan. Her potions become essential for navigating the challenges of her new environment, and she learns to trade them with others as she seeks to establish a foothold in an unfamiliar society.
Kaede soon encounters various inhabitants of this world who become important figures in her journey. Caldeno, a dignified and cool-headed woman, takes on the role of guarding Kaede and assisting her in dealing with the realm's dangers. Asur is another companion who joins her as her range of abilities expands. She also meets Nina, a timid fairy who initially keeps her distance but gradually warms to Kaede's kind and gentle nature, revealing a playful and protective side. Lay, a leader figure with both warmth and shrewdness, also becomes part of her growing circle of allies.
Throughout the series, Kaede uses her potion-generating power to trade and cooperate with others, forming a joint venture with those who possess skills she lacks. She must navigate complex situations involving various fantasy races, some of whom live in fear of being enslaved. Her journey takes her through different communities as she builds relationships and finds her place in the world. While adapting to her new circumstances, she continues holding onto the hope of one day returning to her original world. The story follows her struggles and discoveries across twelve episodes, balancing survival, commerce, and the search for a way home.
