Description
Within the Sensha-Dō Federation building, a tense encounter unfolds between Shiho Nishizumi and Chiyo Shimada, the formidable mothers and leaders of their respective tankery styles. As the air grows thick with unspoken rivalry, a sudden, distinctive sound echoes through the corridor—the clacking of geta, traditional wooden sandals. The two women immediately try to flee, but they are swiftly caught by a mysterious woman whose presence commands the scene. This short film, which screens after the first main feature of the four-part theatrical project adapting Maruko Nii's spinoff manga Girls und Panzer: Motto Love Love Sakusen Desu!, shifts focus from high-stakes tank battles to comedic character interactions. Directed by Masami Shimoda at studios P.A. Works and Actas, with a script by Noboru Kimura, the short showcases the lighter side of the franchise. The first film in the series, opening December 26, 2025 in Japan, features an opening theme by ChouCho and Sayaka Sasaki, and an ending theme performed by Mai Fuchigami as Miho Nishizumi. Subsequent films are scheduled for January 30, March 6, and April 10, 2026.
