In the year 20001, twenty thousand years after humanity’s disappearance, a spacecraft lands on the abandoned ruins of Earth. Its crew consists of three aliens: Captain Kepo, a steadfast and earnest leader who holds deep reverence for the extinct human race; Alcia, an inquisitive agent who tries to apply logical analysis to the strange objects they encounter; and Regal, a naive and intuitive junior teammate whose instincts sometimes edge closest to the truth. Their mission is to investigate why human civilization collapsed, but they arrive with no context or prior knowledge of human culture.

The trio explores the remnants of a world they assume was built by a highly intelligent and noble species. This presumption leads them to wildly misinterpret nearly every artifact they find. A children’s playground swing becomes a sacred altar used for religious ceremonies. An umbrella is mistaken for an advanced communication device. A cemetery is viewed as a kind of farmland. Each ordinary object is filtered through their awestruck, flawed perspective, creating a chain of comedic misunderstandings that drive the narrative forward.

As the investigation proceeds, the aliens’ theories become increasingly elaborate and darkly humorous, yet they never waver in their admiration for humanity. The story builds toward a quiet revelation: the crew finally concludes that, despite all the confusion and their many errors, human beings once possessed a small but genuine beauty worth remembering.
