1このボールの下に集まれ!
Shingo Tamai,a restless first-year student, arrives at Shinsei High School in a new neighborhood on the outskirts of Tokyo. Tenpei Matsuki, a former Japanese national team goalkeeper and Olympic bronze medalist, joins the school as the new soccer coach. Matsuki immediately implements intense training regimens that push the existing team members to their physical limits. Shingo finds the coach's methods excessively harsh and refuses to submit to them. He rebels against Matsuki's authority and decides to form a separate, independent team with several other dissatisfied students. The split creates a direct rift between the two groups, establishing two competing soccer squads within the same school. Shingo and his self-organized team achieve an initial victory, which fuels their confidence and defiance. The victory proves short-lived, however, as they subsequently face repeated defeats at the hands of Matsuki's officially trained team. Each loss solidifies Shingo's perception of the coach as a formidable, seemingly unbeatable obstacle. The rivalry crystallizes, setting the stage for a prolonged conflict where Shingo must reconcile his individual talent with the discipline required to defeat his new enemy.
2A Kick of Rebellion
Shingo Tamai kicks a ball directly at coach Tenpei Matsuki during the first team practice, rejecting the coach’s harsh training methods. Matsuki, a former Olympic goalkeeper, immediately benches the rebellious first-year student. Shingo gathers several disgruntled teammates and forms a separate squad that trains on its own. The new team plays its first informal match against a local club and secures a narrow victory. This win strengthens Shingo’s belief that Matsuki’s approach is unnecessary and cruel. Meanwhile, Matsuki continues drilling the official team with relentless physical conditioning. Aota, a wealthy student who initially joined Shingo’s group, grows doubtful about their long-term prospects without proper facilities or guidance. The conflict escalates when Matsuki’s team challenges Shingo’s team to a formal match to determine which group represents Shinsei High. Shingo accepts immediately, confident that his self-taught methods will defeat the coach’s disciplined squad. The episode ends with both sides preparing for a confrontation that will decide the future of the school’s soccer program.
3The Wolf's Challenge
Shingo Tamai and his self-formed team continue their rivalry against Coach Matsuki's official squad. The two groups maintain separate practices, each refusing to acknowledge the other's legitimacy. Shingo pushes his teammates through demanding drills, driven by the desire to prove that his approach can defeat the coach's methods. Matsuki observes from a distance but does not intervene, allowing the divide to widen. Tensions escalate when members of the official team publicly mock Shingo's group, calling them wolves without a pack. Shingo responds by challenging the official team to a direct match, setting clear terms for the confrontation. His teammates hesitate, fearing humiliation against the more organized squad, but Shingo’s resolve forces their agreement. The episode ends as both sides prepare for the upcoming game, with the outcome threatening to dissolve one of the two factions permanently. The immediate consequence is a winner-take-all match that will determine which team controls the future of soccer at the school.

7Deathblow Drop Kick
Shingo Tamai attempts to master the deathblow drop kick,a technique that Coach Matsuki demonstrates with brutal precision. Matsuki brings in an outside player to execute the kick against the team, showing its destructive power when the ball tears into the net past the goalkeeper. Shingo recognizes the kick as a potential weapon to break through tough defenses but struggles to replicate its form during practice. His initial attempts lack power and accuracy, causing frustration among his teammates who question his dedication to team play over individual moves. Ryoko Asuka observes Shingo's fixation on the technique and warns him that relying on a single weapon will not make him a complete player. Jiro Komano provides technical analysis of the kick's mechanics, breaking down the body positioning and leg swing required for proper execution. Shingo disregards the advice and continues practicing alone late into the evening, pushing his body to its limits. The episode culminates in a practice match where Shingo finally lands the drop kick, but the ball flies wide of the goal, demonstrating that technique without precision accomplishes nothing. Coach Matsuki offers no praise, instead reminding Shingo that a flashy move matters only when it leads to a score. The gap between Shingo and Matsuki's expectations widens as the team's next official opponent, known for their iron-wall defense, approaches.

9俺のゴールはどっちだ
Coach Matsuki continues the intense training regimen at Shinsei High School, pushing the players to their physical limits. Shingo Tamai, still clashing with Matsuki’s methods, becomes increasingly determined to prove his individual skill on the field. The team organizes a practice match that splits the squad into two sides, creating a direct confrontation between Shingo and the disciplined system Matsuki demands. Shingo repeatedly drives toward the goal, seeking to score with his characteristic solo runs. Each time he faces the goalkeeper, he hesitates, questioning whether to shoot for personal glory or to pass to a better-positioned teammate. This internal conflict causes him to miss several clear scoring opportunities, frustrating both his teammates and his own competitive drive. Matsuki observes from the sidelines, deliberately withholding tactical guidance to force Shingo to confront his selfish play style. As the match reaches its final minutes, Shingo breaks through the defense once more. He finds himself in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper but pauses, uncertain of his decision. The match ends without him scoring, leaving him visibly shaken by his inability to act. The lack of a decisive goal weighs on Shingo, highlighting the growing rift between his raw talent and the team-oriented approach required to succeed. Jun Misugi, a talented player from another school, arrives on the scene and watches Shingo’s struggle, setting the stage for a new rivalry.

21消えた美杉純
Misugi Jun vanishes without explanation, leaving his teammates and rivals at Shinsei High School in a state of uncertainty. Shingo Kanemoto and the other players first notice Jun’s absence during practice, and their search across the school and surrounding areas yields no sign of him. Coach Matsuki Tenpei presses the team to maintain their training regimen despite the distraction, but Jun’s empty position on the field weighs on everyone’s mind. Flashbacks reveal Jun’s recent struggles with an injury and his growing pressure to prove himself as a top player. Some teammates suspect Jun left to train alone, while others fear he abandoned the team entirely because of his physical setbacks. Shingo refuses to accept that Jun quit and redoubles his own efforts, believing Jun would never walk away without a final challenge. The episode cuts between the team’s strained practices and brief, ambiguous glimpses of a lone figure watching from a distance. Rumors circulate among rival schools that Jun has been seen meeting with a professional club scout, raising the stakes for Shinsei’s upcoming match. Without their star forward, the team faces a critical test of their unity and ability to adapt their formation. The final scenes show Shingo discovering a worn soccer ball left at Jun’s desk, a silent sign that Jun’s departure may be temporary but his reasons remain hidden. The disappearance sets up a confrontation when Shinsei must face their next opponent, and the team now braces for whether Jun will return in time or if they will have to play without him.
22The Submarine Returns
23Episode 23
The match enters a critical phase with the opposing team tightening their defensive formation to protect a narrow lead. Tetsuya and his teammates struggle to break through the compact defense, forcing them to rely on long-range shots that fail to find the target. The coach signals a tactical shift, instructing the midfielders to push higher and overload the wings. A key player on the opposing side picks up a minor injury but stays on the field, visibly limiting his movement. Tetsuya notices this vulnerability and directs the attack toward that side of the pitch. A quick combination play creates a clear scoring chance, but the opposing goalkeeper makes a sharp save to deny the equalizer. Tensions rise on the bench as time runs out, with the coaching staff considering a substitution to add fresh energy to the front line. The defensive line takes more risks, leaving gaps that the opponents nearly exploit with a counterattack. A last-minute free kick gives the team one final opportunity to salvage a result. The shot strikes the crossbar, and the match ends with the score unchanged, leaving the team to face the consequences of the loss. The next match now carries added pressure, with qualification hopes hanging on a must-win result.
24見てろ!俺のサブマリン·シュート
Shingo Tamai faces a decisive moment as he prepares to execute the Submarine Shoot against a rival team. The episode centers on Shingo’s struggle to control the technique after previous attempts failed or were forbidden. Teammates observe his practice sessions, where he repeatedly fails to land the kick correctly, raising doubts about its reliability in a real match. Coach Matsuki refrains from intervening directly, forcing Shingo to analyze the mechanics of the shoot on his own. Ryoko Asuka, the team manager, provides encouragement but emphasizes that the final execution depends entirely on Shingo’s resolve. During the match, the opposing team targets Shingo, attempting to disrupt his rhythm and prevent him from setting up the shot. After a scoreless first half, Shingo overcomes his hesitation and successfully launches the Submarine Shoot, catching the goalkeeper off guard. The successful strike shifts the momentum of the game and validates the weeks of specialized training. Despite the goal, the match remains undecided, with the opposing team regrouping to mount a counterattack. The closing moments show Shingo realizing that mastering one technique does not guarantee victory, as new challenges emerge from the opponent’s offense.

Shingo Tamai encounters two new players, the Yashima twins Saizo and Sasuke, at training ground No. 20. The twins move in perfect synchronization and generate shots from a vortex that conceals the direction of the ball. Shingo attempts to challenge them but fails to determine which twin actually strikes the ball. Mr. Yagashi arrives, introduces the twins to Shingo, and brings them to join the Shinsei High School team. The twins demonstrate their speed by scoring against goalkeeper Ohira without him seeing the moment of the kick. Coach Matsuki and Yagashi recruit Jun Misugi and Gojuro Yamagata to form a new all-star team capable of competing against strong Brazilian opponents. The assembled forwards—Shingo, Misugi, Yamagata, and the twins—take turns shooting against Ohira, who fails to stop any of their shots. Matsuki takes over as goalkeeper and easily blocks shots from Shingo, Misugi, and Yamagata but concedes a goal to the twins. Ohira acknowledges his limitations and requests that the stronger goalkeeper Tsuyoshi Kamioka be brought into the team. After the training session, Shingo realizes his right foot no longer generates sufficient power due to his previous injury. He decides he must strengthen his left foot to remain effective against top-level goalkeepers.
